When masons become gardeners. Why should a Master Mason consider the path of a Gardener? What unique perspectives does gardening offer to a Master Mason? Our approach follows a parallel and complementary path to traditional Freemasonry.

Membership in Le Jardin is open exclusively to those who have already been initiated into the third degree in a recognized Masonic lodge, whether mixed, female, or male.

The aim of this admission criterion is to bring together people from different backgrounds who share a common culture of symbolism. The interaction between Freemasonry and our Garden is rooted in a relationship of shared lineage. We therefore welcome visiting sisters or brothers wishing to discover our ritual. We warmly welcome visiting brothers and sisters who wish to experience our rituals, though we remain independent and do not seek recognition from any particular Masonic obedience.

The Order of the Free Gardeners, which has existed for several centuries, was once on the brink of extinction but has fortunately been revived in various countries over recent decades. Our Franc-Jardinerie embodies a unique identity, with rituals that differ intentionally from those of the International Order of Free Gardeners. Nonetheless, we recognize and respect other Free Gardener orders, and visits are arranged on a case-by-case basis.
